Types of Therapy
At Richards Diversified Consulting Services (RDSC), we know that every client is unique. That’s why we use a variety of evidence-based approaches designed to meet your individual needs. Together, we’ll decide which method—or combination—works best for your journey toward healing and growth.

Our Approach
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Often, sessions will include techniques from more than one approach, customized to meet your specific needs. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, addiction, or life changes, we’ll work together to create a therapy plan that fits your goals and values.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is one of the most widely used forms of therapy. It helps you identify negative thought patterns, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and replace them with healthier ways of thinking and behaving. This approach is especially effective for anxiety and depression.
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a powerful, research-based therapy for trauma. It helps your brain reprocess painful memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. Clients often report reduced emotional distress and a stronger sense of peace after EMDR sessions.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT focuses on building skills for managing emotions, improving relationships, and practicing mindfulness. It’s particularly helpful for individuals with intense emotions, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), or difficulty with emotional regulation.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
SFBT is a short-term, goal-oriented approach. Instead of focusing on the problem, we focus on your strengths and the small steps you can take to create meaningful change. It’s especially effective for clients who want practical strategies they can use right away.
